Abner McCoy Stricken in Virginia Tp.

Abner McCoy, aged 81, prominent resident of Virginia tp., died at his home Thursday night at 11 o'clock from infirmities of age.

Mr. McCoy was born and spent his entire life on the farm which has been in the McCoy name for 116 years.

He was married to Elizabeth Meek on October 18, 1871, and to this union were born seven children. His wife preceded him in death on February 26, 1908; one son, William, died April 3, 1911, and a daughter, Mabel, died February 8, 1924.

Mr. McCoy was a lifelong member of the Baptist church.

The following children survive: George F. McCoy who resides on the Meek farm in Virginia tp., Mrs. Harry cox of Trinway, Mrs. Edward Dickerson of Route 4, Mrs. A. L. Ricketts of Niles and Asa McCoy of the late home. One sister, Mrs. Mariah Cox of this city; one brother, Alexander McCoy of Columbus; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Milfork Baptist church in charge of Rev. N. B. Chilbourne of Dresden. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
