Farmington -- Last rites for 61-year-old Elmer Vornkahl were held Wednesday afternoon in the rural Anson Congregational Church. Rev. Homer E. Dalrymple officiated, and burial was in the Anson Cemetery. Vornkahl died May 27 in a hospital in Keokuk. Death terminated a long period of ill health. A life resident of the Anson community, Vornkahl was the son of Harmon and Sadie Vornkahl. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bertie Clifton Vornkahl, and three sons: Marvin of rural Farmington, Merrill of Kankakee, Illinois, and Milburn at home. Also surviving are hree sisters, Mrs. Mary von Seggen and Ada and Effie Vornkahl, all of Farmington, and a granddaughter.
