Mrs. Verona Ruplinger Haney, daughter of Pete and Barbia Legill Haney, was born February 24, 1882, at Harper, Iowa, and departed this life Wednesday, July 17, 1974, at Graham Hospital in Keokuk at the age of 92.

She had resided a number of years at the Shady Rest Nursing Home in Bonaparte, and more recently in Keokuk. Most of her life was spent in Van Buren County.

Her husband, Charles, preceded her in death.

Survivors include three nephews, William and Charles Haney, both of Keosauqua and David McGaffey of Washington, Iowa, and a neice, Mrs. Will Poling of Cantril.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 19, 1974, at 10:00 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Harold Schnedler of the Congregational Church officiating. Interment was in Pittsburg Cemetery.
