Jessie Ann Haney was born in Keosauqua, Iowa, Jan. 25, 1863 and departed this life at her home in Keosauqua Dec. 28, 1924.

She was united in marriage to Charles H. McGaffey Sept. 14, 1879, and to this union were born four children: Stanley L. of Des Moines; Minnie J. Cook of Keosauqua, W. Craig of Omaha, Neb.; and Nellie M. Ramsey who is traveling in Florida and could not be located in time. She also leaves five brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. McGaffey united with the M. E. Church at the age of twenty. She was a member of the Rebekahs for a number of years, and an ardent church and lodge worker until late years, when failing health would not permit. She was a patient sufferer and trusted fully in God, having expressed her desire often to be at rest.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by her pastor Rev. P. S. Apfel.
