Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie J. Ramsey, 65, of 308 North Seventh avenue, will be held in the Sherman funeral home at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, with another service scheduled for two o'clock in the afternoon in the church at Pittsburg, Iowa. Rev. W. J. Stevens will be in charge of both services.

Mrs. Ramsey died late Thursday in the Methodist hospital at Los Angeles, Calif. She had gone to California in November to spend the winter in her brother's home and was on a trip to Los Angeles when she became suddenly ill.

She was born Sept. 17, 1883, in Pittsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Olive (Haney) McGaffey. She was reared and educated in Van Buren County and was married Nov. 13, 1907, to Roscoe F. Ramsey. They lived at Keosauqua until 1919 when they moved to Washington.

Mrs. Ramsey was a member of the Christian Tabernacle and the V. F. W. auxiliary. Her husband died August 2, 1945.

Survivors include two brothers, Clarence McGaffey of Hanford, Calif. and David McGaffey of Washington; two neices and three nephews.
