Charles Leo Hull, son of John and Laura Wollam Hull, was born near Cantril, IA August 5, 1893, and after a long illness passed away at his home in Cantril, June 30, 1957, at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 25 days.

On December 9, 1914 he was married to Floy Eisenhower, who survives. Two children were born to this union.

During a long siege of illness, Leo fought a hard fight, always expressing the hope that tomorrow would be a better day. He lived most of his life in the Home Prairie community. In 1924 he united with the Cantril Christian Church under the ministry of H. C. Shaw.

He was a good citizen, helping others whenever possible. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and an infant brother.

Besides his companion, he is survived by one son, Jesse Hull, Burlington; one daughter, Mrs. Ernie (Dorothy) Weller, Bloomfield; two grandchildren, Becky and Gary Weller; one brother, William, of Cantril; one foster sister, Mrs. Addie Barker, Wenatchee, WA; an uncle, Dick McCoy, Arbela, MO; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and a host of friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were held at the Cantril Christian Church, Tuesday, July 2 at 2:00 p.m. with the minister, Herbert C. Shaw, officiating. The music consisted of organ music, played by H. C. Shaw.

The pallbearers were Frank Anderson, Hollis Beggs, Glenn Elliott, Selman Daughrity, Raymond Huff, and Frank Woodin. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
