MRS. MATTIE MAE WEIHER

Mrs. Mattie Mae Weiher, daughter of John and Mary Close, died Saturday, October 26, 1918, after a lingering illness of about eleven months.

She was born September 2, 1882, in Kellogg, Iowa. As a child she was of a bright, sunny dispostion, loved by all who knew her. She was an obedient daughter, a loving mother and a true friend.

On September 12, 1900, she was married to Charles E. Weiher of Bonaparte, Iowa, who, with the two daughters, Marguerite age seventeen years and Mabel, age fifteen years, besides one sister, Mrs. O. E. Morrel of Dexter, Minnesota and one brother, Bert Close of St Louis, Missouri are left to mourn the loss of a true wife, kind mother and a loving sister.

She united with the Waterloo Baptist church at the age of fifteen and was a faithful member for many years. She was also a social member of the R. N. A. and the Clover Leaf Club.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Seeds, pastor of the Bonaparte M.E. church, on Tuesday October 29, at ten AM and her body was laid to rest in the Thompson Cemetery.

She will be missed in her home for she was dearly loved; her quiet home and her family, but we have to say, "Oh God, thy will be done." Farewell, dear Mother, pure and good. XXX
