MRS. FRED FOLKER
Anna Rachel Folker, sixth child of James and Elizabeth Billingsley Sullivan was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on Nov. 26, 1867 and departed this life at her home near Anson, Clark county, Mo, on July 28, 1940, at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 2 days.
Her parents came from West Virginia to Missouri when Anna was two years old and established a farm home in Grant township. There she lived until her marriage on Dec. 12, 1900, to Fred Folker of the same community. To this union was born one daughter, Zella Laverne, who with the husband survives to mourn the departed mother and wife. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Coffin of Farmington, and Mrs. Belle (?W)eller of Stockport, and one brother, (?) H. Sullivan of near Mt. Sterling.
Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers and two sisters. In her span of life Mrs. Folker has been a true follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ, ever a devoted wife, mother, friend, and neighbor, and as (?) example of true womanhood she leaves a heritage to all.
In February of 1938, she experienced (?) consciousness of the divinity of her (?) and acknowleded Him as (?) in the presence of her husband and daughter. She bore her cross (?) many days of suffering until (?) summons home.
The last rites were held at the (Acasto?) church on July 30, 1940 with Rev. Dale Nicholson of Farmington officiating. Burial was in the (Acasto?) cemetery.
Pall bearers were: E.D. Baugher, (?) Weaver, Harold White, Ernest (?vman), Eston Wilson and Clyde (?ton).
