MRS. JOSEPH MEEK DIED THURSDAY
Well Known Bonaparte Woman Passed Away Early Yesterday Morning--Mother of Miss Maggie Meek
Mrs. Joseph Meek of Bonaparte died at her home in that city this morning at 2:30 o'clock, aged seventy years, after being sick for some time.
She was the mother of Mrs. Carl A. Weber and Miss Maggie Meek of this city and a sister of Miss Maggie King of Keokuk and had numerous friends in this city, made during frequent visits here.
She was the widow of the late Joseph Meek, who died seven years ago, one of the Meek brothers who operated the Bonaparte mill and was widely known throughout this state.
Mrs. Meek was born in Ireland and the cause of her death was a general breakdown of health.
Besides the relatives in this city, there are also three daughters as follows: Mrs. Steburg of Nebraska, Mrs. Cresap of Fort Madison, Sister Borjia of Milwaukee and Michael King, a brother, whose home is in Mexico but who is now visiting at home.
Mrs. Weber and Miss King left this morning for Bonaparte.-Constitution-Democrat
