Sarah Roby, daughter of Singleton and Katherine Roby was born in Indiana, Nov ember 25, 1849, and departed this life at the home of her nephew, Will Roby, July 2, 1937, at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 2 days.
She came to Iowa with her parents when just a small child living in and near Milton with the exception of a few years spent in Ringgold County.
She was united in marriage to Robert Francey in 1887. He preceded her in death.
To this union were born two sons, Floy who passed away at the age of 19 years and one son who died in infancy.
She leaves to mourn their loss, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Stella Greenlee of Fremont Nebraska, several nieces and nephews and a host of neighbors and friends.
She united with the Methodist church early in life and continued a faithful member until the time of her death.
The funeral service was held at the Burnett funeral home on Sunday morning at 9:30 with the Rev. Hehner in charge, assisted by Rev. Hadley. Burial was in an Ottumwa cemetery. I am not related and am posting this obituary for those who might find this person in their family history.
