CLARA CORNS LEFFLER.
OBITUARY SKETCH.Clara Frances Corns was born in Bentonsport, Iowa, June 17, 1878, was married to Omer Leffler Dec. 17, 1903, and died February 20, 1904.
The deceased has always lived in Bentonsport where she was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her friends were numbered among both old and young. To know her was to love her. She was of a loving disposition and was the light of her [torn here] home.
[the left edge of the next paragraph is torn with words missing which will be indicated by a series of ****** or my best guess]
****[when] a bride but ******** when she was stricken with typhoid fever, of which disease she had [always} had a dread. But when in[formed] by her physician that she was [a vic]tim of that dread disease she said [she] had no fear even of death. She was a patient sufferer all through her lingering illness and seemed more thoughtful of her mother's burdens than of her own illness.
*** God called her home and death has plucked another flower from earth to sparkle as a Jewel in Heaven, and the young brief of a few weeks has passed from earth and left her husband, a father and mother, three brothers and one sister to mourn their loss.
