Bonaparte - Funeral rites were held Sunday at the Bonaparte Methodist church for Edward C. Mankin, a former resident of Bonaparte, who died in Minnesota. Reverend J. S. Ellis officiated, and burial was in the Vale Cemetery in Harrisburg Township.

Mankin farmed in the Bonaparte vicinity for several years; then moved to Minnesota. He later moved back to Bonaparte and purchased property here, but eventually returned to Minnesota.
