Since the last issue of your paper we have had the gentleman with the sythe, whose harvest is human lives at work in our midst. First a little child of John Frazer's died, then Mr. Isaac Campbell, formerly of Campbell & Varner, shoemakers, died--what his complaint was I have never understood, but he has been sick a long time. On Friday evening last, Mrs. Nancy Meredith, wife of Mr. Andrew Meredith, died after a short illness of inflamation of the lungs. Mrs. M. was the mother of David Meredith, formerly of Harrisburg township. Mrs. Meredith was an excellent wife, mother and neighbor.
