George Rech's funeral rites held at Upton
Cantril, Iowa, June 22 - funeral services of George Rech, 88, who died Sunday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. E. Robinson, near Upton with whom he lived, were held at Upton Tuesday afternoon. The Reverend David Eastman officiated.

He was born in Germany, October 10, 1849 at Bingham on the Rhine and came to America when four years of age. Mrs. Rech died in 1900. Two daughters, Mrs. Raymond McNamer of Garden City, and Mrs. Robinson and five grandchildren survive. A son, Leslie, died Feb. 18, 1928.

Mrs. Amanda Mellott, 75, died at her home in the south part of Cantril about noon Monday.

A sister, Miss Lunt Woodin, a brother, Homer Lydon, and a nephew, Frank Woodin in Cantril and a sister, Mrs. Lydia Shull in California survive.

The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon in charge of the Reverend David Eastburn, with burial in Hoskins Cemetery in Home Prairie beside her husband who died several years ago.
