Amy Rebecca Steadman - Youngest daughter of Orson and Ruby Smith. Born May 26, 1851 at Potsdam, NY and died at Bonaparte April 14, 1909, aged 57 years, 10 months, 24 days. Leaves husband, 3 daughters, 2 grandsons, 2 sisters and one brother. She was of a family of six, 3 sisters and 2 brothers; one brother, James C. Smith, and one sister, Mrs. Nell Huffman having died previously. Came to IA with his parents in 1855 and settled at Waukon, Allamakee Co., then in 1866 to Bonaparte. Married April 10, 1870 to William Asa Steadman. They had 6 children, 3 daughters: Cora, Jennie and Nell. Three sons who died in infancy. F-Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte.
