George Ellis - Died February 1, 1910 at Keosauqua. Native of NY. Born in Sullivan Co. March 26, 1825. Came to IA with parents in the spring of 1839 to Keosauqua. Married March 31, 1850 Miss Ruth Gale, daughter of John & Rebecca G. Gale (McCrary) who survives. No children. In 1855 moved to Vernon Twp. To Keosauqua in 1892. F-Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua.
