Elmer Myers - Son of John and Josephine Myers. Born in Wapello Co. August 11, 1882, died January 6, 1913. Leaves wife and little daughter only 5 weeks old, a father, mother, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and 2 grandmothers besides a host of relatives. First 14 years spent in Wapello Co. and in 1896 to Davis Co. Eight years later moved to Keosauqua. Married December 12, 1909 to Bertha J. Day, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. George Day. Born one daughter, Nellie Josephine, on December 2, 1912. Horse kicked him in the abdomen which caused his death. F-Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua.
