Prince W. Edwards, son of Dr. and Mrs. E.S. Edwards, was born in Drakesville, May 29, 1879
and died at his home in Milton, February 13, 1951.
He came to Milton with his parents when a small child and has resided here all his life, except
for the time when he served his country in the Spanish-American War.
On April 26, 1909, Mr. Edwards and Abbie Venable were united in marriage in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma.
Mr. Edwards was a member of the Milton Methodist Church. He was also a member of the
Odd Fellows Lodge of Milton and the Modern Woodmen of America.
He is survived by his widow, Abbie Edwards, three sisters: Mrs. Jessie Miller of Creston; Mrs.
Nellie Miller of Arnolds Park and Miss Fannie Edwards of Milton; one niece, Miss Ruth Miller
of St Louis, and one nephew Charles Miller of Creston Iowa.
Funeral services were held at the Brown Funeral Home, Friday afternoon, with Rev. J.W.
Darlington in charge. Music was by John R. Holland with Mrs. W.D. Sherwood accompanist.
Pallbearers were R.G Hagler, K.L. Brown, A.R. Peterson, G.S. Morgan, Bert Bristow and
Claude Fuller.
Burial was in the Milton Sunnyside Cemetery.
