Mrs. Gertrude Maude Moon, 83 of Milton, died Friday, April 6, 1962 at 6:05 a.m. at Memorial
Hospital in Keosauqua Iowa where she had been four days.
She was born April 14, 1878, the daughter of Henry and Mary Harrel Bauch. Her entire life
was spent in Milton. She was a Methodist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
On June 9, 1897, she married Willis D. Moon, who preceded her in death. Surviving are one
son, Paul Moon of Muscatine; a sister, Mrs. Walter Petersen of Pratt, Kansas; two
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A daughter Mrs. Virgil (Helen) Coursen,
preceded her in death.
The service was held on Sunday, April 8, 1962 at 3 p.m. at the Wellborn Funeral Home, Rev.
Richard Eis of the Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.
