J. W. Green was born at Palestine, Ohio, March 15, 1854. He came to the vicinity of the Acasto church in the fall of 1855 and has lived in this community from that time. He married Georgia Enderweisen Oct. 25, 1885. To this union were born one daughter, who died in infancy, and two sons, Lonnie of Ft. Madison and Charles, of Tulsa, Okla.He departed this life July 2, 1934, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 17 days. He is survived by his widow and two sons; one brother, William, and five sisters, Ella Enderweisen, Mattie Coffin, Anna Collins, Dora Gares and Lynn Beatty. One brother and three sisters have preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at the Acasto church on July 4th by Rev. J. V. Wright of Farmington. Burial at Acasto cemetery.
