MRS. JOHN GAFFNEY
FT. MADISON--Mrs. John (Nora Lee) Gaffney, 88, 211 Ave. G, died Thursday at her home after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Barr Memorial chapel, with burial in Buckhart cemetery, Buckhart, Ill., Dr. Claude W. cooper officiating.
She was born Aug. 26, 1872, at Adelphia, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Sarah Smith Haynes, and married John Gaffney on July 23, 1892, at Mt. Pulaski, Ill. He is dead.
She was a member of the Methodist church and was a 53-year member of the Royal Neighbors.
Surviving are three sons, Ray of Stockton, Calif., Dean of Milton, and Harold of Ft. Madison; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Sturdy of Springfield, Ill., Mrs. Ronald Hall of Rochester, Ill., Mrs. Harry McLeland of Stockport and Mrs. Elmer Bletzer of Milton; and a brother, Fred Haynes of Springfield, Ill.
