MRS. ALICE VALE
-----------------
Alice Murray, daughter of James and Harriett Murray, was born May 5, 1860, and departed this life Jan. 4, 1930, aged 69 years, 7 months and 229 [sic-s/b 29] days.

In 1880 she was maried to James Vale. To this union were born four children, all dying in infancy.

After her husband's death in 1904, she made her home with her husband's brother, John Vale, and children, Forde, Netta and Rex, whose care she has had since their mother's death 1906. She was as near a mother to them as could be and likewise they shall miss her.

Mrs. Vale was a member of the Mt. Sterling Methodist church, transferring her membership there when moving to that vicinity.

She leaves to mourn their loss three brothers and one sister of Ohio, two brothers-in-law, William Vale of Cantril, John Vale of Mt. Sterling; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Erma Struble, Mrs. Anna Bolback, both of Keokuk, and Mrs. E. J. Shephard of Chicago.
