Delbert Wallis Dies Suddenly This Morning
He was Found Dead in Bed by His Wife Who Went to Call Him at 6:30 o’clock Today
Delbert Wallis of 727 Bank Street was found dead in his bed this morning at 6:30 o’clock, by his wife. His health had been failing for several months, but his death was sudden and unexpected. Coroner E.E. Hawks viewed the body and pronounced heart trouble the cause of Mr. Wallis death, so no inquest will be held.
Mr. Wallis was fifty-nine years old at the time of his death. He was married for the second time to Katharine Martin in 1902 and is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Catherine Wallis, and one brother John C. Wallis all of this city. Two sisters, Mrs. Alice Triblecock of Kansas and Mrs. Laura Archer of Seattle Washington, and four children by a previous marriage: Mrs. Laura Mc Intosh of Wayland Missouri, Mrs. Cleva Wiley of Keosauqua Iowa, Nellie and Star Wallis both of Minnesota. Fourteen grandchildren also survive him. Arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.
