William Farrell about 45 years old

Monday afternoon, about 5 o'clock, Wm. Farrell, a blind man, married, and about 45 years of age, while out near the well on the barn yard, a short distance from Birmingham, cut his throat with a razor. He walked then toward the barn, some yards distant, and after taking a few steps fell to the ground and expired. No cause for the act is known as far as we have learned. He was married in 1907. A couple of years ago his sister Katie Farrell, also blind, as will be remembered, also committed suicide. The wife, who survives, has a couple of children by a previous marriage.
