MISS MARGARET E. SMITH

On Feb. 3, 1908, at the home of her parents, John and Mary Smith of Keosauqua, occurred the death of Miss Margaret E. Smith, aged 30 years, 5 months and 9 days. Miss Smith was born in Wisconsin, Aug. 24, 1877. She was devoted to her parents and all who knew her held her in high esteem. She had been afflicted with something like paralysis in one of her arms for a long time but was not prevented from going about or from attending to household duties, until pneumonia attacked her a few days previous to her death. She leaves, besides her parents, three brothers and three sisters. The funeral was held from the residence at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 5, Rev. Thorn in charge of the services. The burial was in the Purdom cemetery.
