DIED FROM HIS INJURIES
Mr. Hiram Mellott, of Cantril, Iowa, writes The Republican that William Mellott, son of Ephriam and Catharine Mellott, who was born in Fulton county, died from injuries received while working in the coal mines near Macon, Missouri, on January 19, 1923. Deceased was an overseas veteran and was a most highly esteemed young man, loved and respected by all who knew him. Besides his father, four brothers, [C.] C. Mellott, of Baltimore, Maryland, Elmer and Watson Mellott, of Hopewell, and J. E. Mellott, of Denver, Colorado, survive.
