A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT

Harrison Roland, who lives on the Ben Hall farm, three miles west of Cantril, was kicked Monday evening by one of Mr. Hall's horses, possibly fatally. Mr. Roland and another hand were doctoring the horse when the animal endeavored to get loose, and, whirling round, came in line with Mr. Roland, who still held the rope, and kicked him with both feet. One hoof struck him in the breast and the other just between the eyes. Dr. Dorsay of Keokuk was called and arrived as soon as possible and removed one eye, the other being badly injured. A trained nurse is caring for Mr. Roland.
