Mrs. Mary Linn, wife of Milton A. Linn, died last Friday night after a lingering illness of nearly three years. During this time she had several strokes of paralysis. On Wednesday evening of last week she had another stroke from which she did not rally nor regain consciousness. Mrs. Linn was the daughter of the late R. N. McLeland of this place. She came with her parents to this county in the early fifties and settled near Pierceville where they remained for several years when they moved into this part of the county sometime before the war. At the time of death she was 58 years of age. She married Milton Linn about 36 years ago. She was the mother of ten children. There are three sons and five daughters living and all are married except the youngest daughter. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Lebanon. The funeral was Sunday, 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. H. F. Gilbert, and was buried in the Cantril cemetery. Mrs. Linn was a noble woman and a kind and loving wife and mother. That she was held in high esteem was evident by the many relatives, friends and neighbors who were present at the funeral. Mr. Linn has suffered from his eyes for several years and unfortunately they were much worse at this time, having been nearly blind for the last week. In this sad bereavement and affliction Mr. Linn has the sympathy of all his neighbors.
