---Mrs. M. E. Minton died at her home in Troy on Saturday Feb. 16, and was buried there on the following Monday. She was well advanced in years and her husband J. D. Minton passed away some years ago. The family before moving to Troy, years ago, lived at Pittsburg, where, we believe, he worked in the Funk mill. For several years, while attending school at Troy Academy, and while teaching in the public schools of Troy, Bloomfield and Pulaski, and while assisting in Troy Academy, the junior editor of this paper made his home with the Mintons. It was a good home. Mrs. Minton was a mother to us, and it is with sorrow that we hear of her taking off.
