Ottumwa-Rosie M. Wright, 77, formerly of 1211 S. Webster died 5:25 p.m. Nov. 13, 2002, at the Good Samaritan Center.

She was born May 19, 1925 at Douds to Clair and Mabel Milam Ripley. She married Leo P.J. Wright Feb. 9, 1941. He preceded her in death Sept. 30, 1986.

A resident of Eldon until 1986 when she moved to Ottumwa, she had worked for St. Joseph Hospital for 20 years at Ottumwa Manor.

Surviving are three daughters Shirley Hasley of Graniteville, S.C., Linda Overstreet of Ottumwa and Dixie Hannes of Wilton; three sons David Wright of Eldon, Danny Wright of Davenport, and Leo Wright, Jr., of Moncks Corner, S.C.; 24 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; four sisters Betty Gatlin and Ann McClure both of Ottumwa, Darlene Bradfield of Omaha, Neb., Beulah Keast of St. Catherine, Ontario, Canada; two brothers Donald Ripley of Davenport and Clair Ripley Jr., of Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by four brothers George, James, henry and Frederick Robert Ripley and a sister Ida Shriver.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Stephanie Raphael-Nakos officiating. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery.

Visitation will begin 10 a.m. today (Friday) at the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Kim Robinson, Karen Wilcoxson, Melissa Harris, David, Tom, Jim and Christopher Wright, Rosa Joslin, Michael Talent, Chris Hasley and Angela Holman.

Memorials may be made to the family.
