OBITUARY OF JOHN J. MULGRAVES

John J. Mulgraves was born Oct. 19, 1858, at Kilbourne, Iowa. He was the son of James and Rachel Mulgraves who died years ago. He was married to Hila Beggs, April 18, 1881. To them a girl and two boys were born, two dying in infancy. John united with the M.E. church at Kilbourne in 1887 and continued in that faith to the end. He was afflicted with a painful disease for several years which finally caused his death, Jany 26, 1916, at his home in Mt. Zion, Iowa. He is survived by his wife and one son, Lynn, a step sister, Mrs. Mary Williams of Mt. Zion and a step-brother, George Burnhardt of Unionville, Mo. He was a good man, respected by all who knew him. But he has gone to his heavenly home. Rev. Rundell, of Mt. Zion, conducted the funeral services and his body was laid to rest by the side of his mother in the Forbes cemetery.
