MRS. JAMES LUCAS, OF LURAY, MO., MEETS DEATH IN AUTO ACCIDENT

Last Sunday morning, an automobile accident occured near Mt. Sterling, which proved fatal to Mrs. Harry [sic] Lucas, and others in the car were seriously injured. The James Lucas family and the mother of Mrs. Lucas were riding in a Buick, and the accident occured while they were racing with parties in a Ford.

In some manner the Buick car dropped into a rut, and the wheel was broken. The sudden stop threw the occupants out, and Mrs. Lucas was instantly killed. Mr. Lucas and one of their daughters were seriously injured, and are still in a bad condition.

The Lucas' were residents of Luray, Mo.
