FRANK BURNS

Frank William Burns was born May 17, 1874, at Keosauqua, Iowa, and departed this life Dec. 4, 1933, at his home near Keosauqua, aged 59 years, 6 months and 17 days.

He was the son of Robert and Mary Burns, who preceded him in death.

On Jan. 4, 1899, he was united in marriage to Ada Belle Murphy of Vernon, Iowa, who preceded him in death Feb. 3, 1904. To this union one daughter was born, Bernice of Galesburg, Ill.

On April 15, 1906, he was united in marriage to Myrta Celia Ward of Vernon, who is left to mourn his untimely death. To this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Clara Alexander, who also survives. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Bertha Beatty of Cantril, and one brother, Charles Burns of Hollywood, Calif; also one grandson and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at his late home Wednesday afternoon at 1:30, conducted by Elder H. C. Shaw of Cantril. Elder Shaw and Elder B. B. Redmon of Bloomfield sang Going Down the Valley and No Disappointment in Heaven. Elder Redmon sang No Night There. They were accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Shaw. Burial was at the Bentonsport cemetery.

The pall bears were: Lloyd Jamison, Robert Hanna, Gene Alexander, Will Zachau, James Burkett and Tom Matchett.
