Funeral services for Mrs. Earl Hoskin were conducted at the home on High Street east of Cantril on Sunday afternoon. A very large group attended the rites, which were in charge of the Rev. J. C. Laughlin of Milton, assisted by the Rev. David Eastburn of Cantril. The singers were Mrs. Floyd Smith and Mrs. Leonard Fritz, accompanied by Mrs. Dee Robinson.Burial was at the Maple Grove cemetery at Cantril. The bearers were Ernie Johnson, Clark Barnett, Lawrence Silver, Ezra Silver, Harve McLeland, Craig McLeland, Robert MeLLand [sic] and Harry McLeland.
Mrs. Hoskin, the former Lula Belle Silver, was born June 2, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Silver. Her parents and a brother preceded her in death. She was married on August 22, 1910, to Earl Hoskin. Her entire life was spent in the High Street community.
Mrs. Hoskin died early Friday morning after a prolonged illness. She is survived by her husband; one son, Evert, and two uncles, Ed Teter of California and Joe Silver of Stockport, and one aunt, Mrs. Mary Johnston of Stockport.
