Julia Ann Eichelberger
Died- At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. George Robinson, near Birmingham, Saturday evening, May 26th, of chronic bronchitis, Mrs. F. Eichelberger, aged 68 years.
The deceased was born in Warren county, Ohio, and was married to Frederick Eichelberger, February, 1838, moving to Iowa in 1855, where she has since resided with her husband and family until Jan. 26, 1888, when he was called from his labors. Since that time she has resided with her children. - Sad to think of a mother being called to leave her children so soon after the death of the father. The deceased was a kind, indulgent mother and an unselfish neighbor. No hands were more willing to administer help to those in distress or sickness than hers. She bore her affliction with patience, retaining consciousness until the last, when she calmly fell asleep.
The funeral service was held in the Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. J.H. Fillmore, assisted by the Rev. Wiggins, and her remains were followed to the grave by many sorrowing friends. She leaves three children to mourn her loss, Mrs. Wm. Newell of Blair, Neb., Mrs. Geo. Robinson, and F.A. Eichelberger.

Dearest mother thou hast left us,
How thy loss we deeply feel;
But tis God that hath bereft us.
He can all our sorrows heal.

Yet again we hope to meet thee,
When the day of life is fled:
Then in heaven with joy to greet thee,
Where no farewell tear is shed.
