Death of Mrs. George Robison
Mahala P. Eichelberger was born in the State of Ohio, December 17, 1846, and died at her home a mile and one-half south of Birmingham, Thursday, November 5th, 1914, with heart complications, aged 87 years, 10 months and 18 days.
She came to Iowa with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred. Eichelberger, and settled near Birmingham in 1855 and has since made her home in this vicinity, living in her late residence since 1881.
She was united in marriage to Geo. W. Robison, Dec. 16, 1869. Three children were born to this union - Mrs. G. H. Carl and Miss Sarah B. Robison, who reside on the home farm, and Jas. Frederick, who died at the age of ten years. Her husband died Oct. 2d, 1910.
She united with the Presbyterian church at Mt. Zion, Iowa, about the year 1870, and changed her membership to the M. E. church in Birmingham, Dec. 14, 1918.
She was a good woman, a faithful christian, a kind and affectionate mother, and leaves a host of warm friends to mourn her departure.
Funeral services were held at the home Saturday at 2 p.m., in charge of Rev. Lambert, and in the presence of a large congregation of relatives and her remains were laid to rest beside the loved ones who had preceded her in death.
