Died - In Birmingham, Thursday, Jan. 26th, 1888, after a lingering illness, FREDERICK EICHELBERGER, aged 79 years and 3 months.
Frederick Eichelberger was born Oct. 25th, 1808 in Adams county, PA. At the age of 21 years he moved to Montgomery county, Ohio, with his father's family. He was a miller by occupation and worked at his trade twenty years. Was married to Julia Ann Schnorf, in February, 1838, in Dark county, Ohio, where they resided until 1855, when he, with his family moved to Iowa, where they have resided ever since. He was the father of ten children, four boys and six girls. Three boys died in infancy in Ohio. Four daughters are buried in Iowa. Two daughters and one son - Mrs. Wm. Newell, of Blair, Neb., Mrs. Geo. Robinson, and F. A. Eichelberger, with the bereaved wife are left to mourn his loss. He was a kind and affectionate husband and indulgent father, a good neighbor, respected by all who knew him.
