Mrs. F.B. Sheets

Keosauqua, Iowa, April 19 (1935) - Funeral for Mrs.Harriet Sheets, aged 81, was held at the Burnett Funeral Home in Keosauqua, at 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Her death occurred at the rural home near here Monday; she suffered a stroke Sunday and never rallied. The services were in charge of Rev. M.E. Hayes of the Methodist Church, burial taking place at Memphis, Mo.

Harriet E. (correctly L. for Lucinda) Hurst was born Oct. 28, 1853 in West Virginia (Lewis County). With her parents she came to this section when a young girl. On May 8, 1870 she was united in marriage with B.F. Sheets of Luray, Mo.

Her husband preceded her in death 22 years ago. Since his death she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Herman Linn. She is survived by seven children, C.W. Sheets, Keosauqua; Elzie Sheets, Milton; Harlan Sheets, St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Wayne Myers and Mrs. Rufe (Ruie) Mounce both of Keosauqua and Mrs. Linn of near here and several grandchildren and a large circle of friends.
