Died, on Saturday morning, June 1, 1901, at her home in this city, Miss Jane Ervin. She had been seriously ill for some five weeks and although the end was not unexpected, as the bell on that morning tolled the sad intelligence, our people were grieved and shocked. The funeral was held at the home on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Rollingson, assisted by Rev. Barber, committing the body again to earth. Jane was a member of the M. E. church of this city and was of a gentle and loving disposition. The vacancy thus made in the pleasant home circle will be felt for all time and our citizens join with us in extending sympathy to the parents.
