Ira Bradford 1845-1901

Ira Bradford was born near Bonaparte, November 2, 1845 and died of internal hemorrhage of the lungs at Colorado Springs, Col., March 12, 1901.

Mr. Bradford was twice married. Four children blessed his first marriage, three of whom, with their mother have passed to the great beyond. To the second marriage one child was born.

Funeral services were held at the family residence in Ottumwa, Ia., March 17, 1901. From there the remains were brought to Bonaparte and taken to the Preen cemetery for interment.

He leaves to mourn his loss a faithful wife and two children, one brother and three sisters besides a host of friends.

While he will be sadly missed we know his heart will never feel the pulse of pain, nor be pierced with the sorrows of this world.

So, under winter's drifting snows and summer's gentle rains, we leave the form of faded clay to mingle with the elements until Jesus comes on the resurrection morn.
