Mt. Zion Woman for Several Years Was Iowa’s Last Surviving Granddaughter of Revolutionary War SoldierMrs. Theresa M. Sherod, who for the past several years was the only granddaughter of a Revolutionary soldier in Iowa, died at her home near Mt. Zion Saturday afternoon at the age of 92 years.

Funeral services were held at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian church at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon in charge of the pastor, the Rev. H. C. Irvine of Birmingham. The Williams brothers quartet sang with Mrs. Florence Campbell as pianist.
Burial was at Millers Chapel cemetery. The bearers were Kenneth Barker, Conley Nelson, C. P. Barker, Earle Murphy, Arnold Barker and Hugh Barker.
