NOAH WILHELM

Noah, son of David and Kathryn Wilhelm, was born in Alleghaney county, Maryland, Feb. 7, 1843. His parents moved to Bentonsport, Iowa, in 1866 and he has resided in this vicinity until the date of his death, March 29, at the home of Wm. Gillaspie, where he has made his home the last twenty-nine years.

He leaves to mourn their loss three brothers, Frank of Des Moines, John of Fairfield, and Isaiah of Virginia; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Engle of Centerville and Mrs.Lavina Gillaspie, who preceded him in death Nov. 22, 1923.

He had been in failing health for several months, but Sunday morning grew much worse and although all was done for him that willing hands and medical aid could do to alleviate his suffering he passed peacefully away Sunday night, March 29, 1925, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 22 days.

Of a quiet and unassuming disposition, his was not a life of ostentation, but possessing many fine characteristics which endeared him to those who knew him best. A good man has passed to his eternal home.

Funeral services were held at the home of Wm. Gillaspie, conducted by Rev. Droz, pastor of the Baptist church of Bonaparte.
