She was the mother of five children, C.F. Randall, Mrs. Mamie Parker and Fred B. Creamer, are left to mourn her loss; Mrs. Lillie E. Skinner and Eddie B. Randall having preceded her to that better land.
During the later part of her sickness Dr. J.M. Randall was in daily attendance, and all of her own family and a host of dear, good friends, administered to her physical wants day and night. All that loving hearts and loving hands could do were her's without stint. How well deserving she was all of this; and more-let those who know her best reply: "She is gone but her works do follow her."
The funeral services took place Sunday, Feb. 20th, at the M..E. Church, her pastor, Rev. G.W. Byrkit, delivering a very appropriate address from the 21st Psalm. He spoke in very touching terms of her many good qualities of mind and heart, and more especially of her chief virtue-her ever ready willingness to succor in time of sickness, death or trouble. She knew no God but love, and like her blessed Master, was touched to compassion by the sufferings of any. After closing his remarks the remains were viewed by the large congregation, and then followed to the new cemetery east of town, where they await the resurrection call. Surely "Actions, not years, tell how long we live."
The light, the spell-word of the heart, Our guiding star in weal or woe, Our talisman-our earthly chart-That sweetest name than earth can know. We breathed it first with lisping tongue, When cradled in her arms we lay; Fond memories round that name are hung, That will not, can not pass away.
