DIED - At Birmingham Iowa, Feb. 18th, 1887, Mrs. M.J. CREAMER, aged 56 years, 9 months and 6 days.
Mary J. Beadles was born in Boyle county, Kentucky, May 12th, 1830, was educated at the Female Seminary, Jacksonville, Illinois, was married to Wm. H. Randall, Nov. 20th, 1852 at Lewistown, Illinois. She moved with her family from Henry County lllinois to Birmingham Iowa in the early spring of 1859.
Her husband, Capt. Randall, was killed in the late war in the autumn of 1863. In September, 1867, she was again married to her present bereaved husband, D.G. Creamer. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mamie Parker in Birmingham, last Friday morning at 8 o'clock and 10 minutes, after a year's illness, of Pulmonary Consumption.
Deceased was s remarkably consistent Christian, having been a member of the M.E. Church from girlhood, a devoted and loving mother, a model wife and generous neighbor. In every vicissitude of life this kindly woman was flower and sunshine, relying most implicitly on Him who doeth all things well. Being conscious until the last she heard her daughter repeat (that rock of ages to the Christian soul) the 23rd Psalm, and then she spoke, "I know it all," and taking that blessed promise for a pillow she sweetly fell asleep.
"Were all for whom this woman's gentle hand had done some kindly office, to bring a floral tribute to her bier today, she'd sleep beneath a wilderness of roses."
