Mrs. Nellie L Boyer

Nellie May Luther, daughter of James and Elizabeth Luther, was born near Warren, Lee County, Iowa, July 22, 1868, and departed this life at her home in Farmington on Dec 3, 1939, aged 71 years, 4 months and 11 days.
She came with her parents to the vicinity of Farmington when but a child and has spent her entire life in this community. She was united in marriage with Ira Boyer July 3, 1884, who preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1926.
To this union were born six children, two daughters and four sons, and she leaves to mourn the following children: Mrs. Earl (Mary) Skinner of Moline, Ill.: Mrs. Herman(Bertha) Schmidt, Frank, Floyd, Clyde and Clarence Boyer of Farmington; also 14 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; one brother, one sister and many other relatives and friends. Two grandsons, Dale Skinner and Eston Boyer, preceded her in death.
She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her saviour and was a faithful member of the Baptist church, always at her post of duty whenever her health permitted. She will be missed in Sunday School class where she was a faithful attendant.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church, rev. Crawford officiating. Interment in Farmington cemetery.
