IRA BOYER
Ira B Boyer, son of James and Mahala Boyer was born near Farmington Jan 31, 1864, and departed this life at this home north of Farmington Nov. 14, 1926, at 1:30 pm at the age of 62 years, 9 months, and 14 days.
He lived all his life near Farmington except four years spent in Kansas with an uncle. He was left mother at the age of nine days and thereafter made his home with his grandparents, Mrs and Mrs. John Burrier until their death.
He was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Luther July 3, 1884. To this union were born six children, four sons and two daughters: Mrs Bertha Schmidt, Mrs Florence Skinner, Frank, Floyd Clyde and Clarence Boyer living near Farmington.
At the age of fourteen he was converted and united with a Baptist church in Kansas. He later transferred his membership to the Farmington Baptist church and remained a faithful member until his death. He was a good Christian man, hard working, honest and upright in all of his dealings with his fellow men.
He leaves to mourn his departure his loving and faithful wife, and six children; four daugthers-in-law; thirteen grandchildren, one brother, stepmother, three aunts; two nieces; several cousins, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon with Rev. JA Cochran of Mt Union and Rev. JH Perry in charge.
