Marriage of Mr. W. B. Welch and Miss Lottie Day

On Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 31, occurred the wedding of Miss Lottie Day, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Day of this place and Mr. W. B. Welch, cashier of the bank at Mt. Sterling. Rev. James Welch of Natoma, Kan., and Mrs. J. A. Johnson and Mr. Mernie Welch and Misses Nellie Jones and Fannie Wilson of Bonaparte were among those present, the two latter being the only guests outside of the relatives of the contracing (sic) parties. Rev. James Welch, father of the groom, and formerly pastor of the Presbyterian church at Bonaparte and West Point, officiated. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful presents. The groom is a young gentleman of the highest character and is esteemed by all who know him. He was connected with the bank of Bonaparte several years and was assistant cashier of the First National Bank at Farmington, and on the organization of the new bank at Mt. Sterling last summer was placed in charge of that. The bride is a most estimable and propular (sic) young lady who has many friends not only here but at Bonaparte and at her former home in Cedar township. All unite in wishing the young couple a happy and prosperous future.
