A pleasant wedding occurred Wednesday night (March 24, 1897) of last week at 7o'clock, which united in marriage Miss Tensa Cox to Mr. Walter Blackburn, both of Vernon township. It was suspected that Walter and Tensa intended to enter the marriage relation sometime, but when, was all guess work, and very few knew of the event until it was over. They guarded the secret well and surprised their friends. The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Cox, and is a lady much loved and highly respected by the many who know her. The groom is a prosperous young farmer and merits the friendship of all who have the pleasure of his acquaintance. About fifteen friends enjoyed the elegant supper given by Mrs. Blackburn, mother of the groom. As they start out with the future before them, may their happiness never be clouded, but always bright with love and sunshine, is the wish of their many friends.
