The Affections of Loving Hearts Culminate in a Happy Event.

On Tuesday evening, Feb. 4, the spacious residence of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Easling was brilliantly illuminated, the occasion being the marriage of their daughter Lottie, to Mr. Robt. E. McDonald. At the close of the wedding march, Miss Lottie, leaning upon the arm of Mr. McDonald, presented themselves, and were joined in holy matrimony, Rev. Johnathan Lee of Rome, Henry county, officiating.

The bride, who is an accomplished young lady, was dressed in a beautiful dress of Albatross cloth, trimmed with lace and ornamented with natural flowers.

The groom is a young man of sterling qualities, who is well and favorably known throughout the community and is engaged in farming.

Invitations had been sent out to about 125 persons, though some of them at such a distance they could not reach here. But at an early hour the guests began to arrive, and continued to arrive, until their large brick residence was well filled. Regrets were received from Iowa, Illinois, Kansas and Missouri.

After the ceremony was performed and the bride and groom had received the congratulations of their hosts and friends, the company was served with a bountiful supper, such as the hostess known so well how to prepare, and all partook with a zest that bespoke of good digestion. The presents were numerous, costly and useful, a complete list of which was unobtainable. At eleven o’clock the company dispersed and all expressed themselves that it was “good to be there.”. Thus the young couple start upon life’s journey with the brightest of prospects and best wishes of all. May their fullest anticipations be realized, is the wish of their GUESTS.
