Stockport Siren
Rev. Sieck gave a talk Tuesday afternoon before the high school assembly. He stated the harms of smoking, related to us the famous lie which won the prize for being the best, and demonstrated the difference between a barometer and thermostat. Everyone enjoyed his coming and we hope he will be back soon.
The shorthand class is now beginning to write. Here's hoping they have more success with this than their reading!
Sophomore Officers
Last Monday night we had a sophomore class meeting in the English room and elected the following officers:
President, Deanie Dodds; vice president, Ted Harlan; secretary-treasurer, Audrey Poole. Deanie Dodds has been president of this class for four years now. Mrs. McAllister will be our sponsor.
Sports
Stockport baseball nine gained another victory, ending a brief season, which contained three wins, no losses. With Crawford pitching, and Conyers catching, the boys scored a victory over Salem with a final score of 7 to 0. Battery for Salem was Mills, pitcher, and Schumaker, catcher.
